What is your role at Berger HR Solutions, and what does it involve?

As a Talent Specialist, I serve as the recruiting lead for a portfolio of clients, managing
the full recruitment lifecycle from intake through offer acceptance. I partner closely with
hiring managers to understand hiring needs, role requirements, team dynamics, and
organizational culture, enabling me to identify and attract top talent efficiently.

I develop recruitment strategies, create compelling job postings, source and screen
candidates, conduct interviews, and assess applicants for both qualifications and
cultural fit. I also manage reference checks, background screening coordination, and
offer processes, including verbal offers, negotiations, and offer letter preparation to
ensure a seamless candidate experience.

What experience do you bring to your role?

I bring more than 30 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, and
onboarding to my role as Talent Specialist. Most recently, I supported a software
development firm, recruiting professionals across software development, project
management, sales, accounting, and human resources. Throughout my career, I have
successfully recruited for organizations in a variety of industries, including healthcare,
insurance, logistics, banking, and technology. My diverse recruiting background enables
me to quickly understand client needs, identify top talent, and build strong relationships
with both candidates and hiring managers.

How has your past experience shaped your approach to HR consulting?

My recruiting experience has shaped my approach to HR consulting by emphasizing the
importance of building strong relationships, understanding each client’s unique culture,
and delivering tailored talent solutions. I strive to be a trusted advisor, helping clients
attract top talent, navigate hiring challenges, and make informed decisions that support
long-term success.

What areas of HR are you most passionate about?

My passion in HR is recruiting and connecting the right talent with the right
opportunities. There is nothing more rewarding than successfully placing a candidate
with a client and seeing both sides benefit from the match. I take great satisfaction in
watching a new hire integrate seamlessly into their team, contribute to the organization's
success, and see their career grow and flourish over time. Knowing I played a role in
helping both the employee and the client achieve their goals is what makes this aspect
of HR so fulfilling for me.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Human Resources from Towson
University

Who do you enjoy spending time with outside of work, and where do you call home?

I live in Maryland with my son and dog, Loki. We enjoy going to local farm markets,
breweries, and festivals since we can bring our furry family member with us.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?

Outside of work, I enjoy visiting historical sites and learning about the events and
people that shaped them. I'm also an avid mystery fan, especially historical mysteries
that combine my love of history with a good whodunit.

What do you value outside of work?

I value spending time with my family and continuing some family holiday traditions with
my sisters.
